Rick Helsinger

Rick currently serves on the Board of Directors for AurGroup Financial Credit Union and is seeking re-election. In addition to his voluntary board position at AurGroup, Rick is a retired employee of the City of Fairfield Boards of Zoning Appeals, Building Appeals and Design Review Board.

As a Fairfield City Building Official, Rick was responsible for the overall administration of the Building and Zoning Division and enforcement of all the rules of the State of Ohio, Board of Building Standards. Rick worked in the Building and Zoning Division for over 39 years, starting as a city electrician.

Over the years, Rick has been involved in numerous building and electrical organizations and was named Building Official of the Year by both the Southwest Ohio Building Officials Association and the Ohio Building Officials Association.

Rick enjoys spending time with his family. One of Rick's favorite activities is taking trips on his Goldwing.

 
Donald J. Rottinghaus

Don is currently concluding his three-year term on the board of AurGroup and looks forward to another three years of service. He currently serves on the Board's Policy Committee. Don retired from Duke Energy/Cinergy/CG&E in June 2006 as Manager of Rate Administration responsible for the evaluation and administration of the company's gas and electric rates in Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana. In that role, he also testified as an expert witness before the three state regulatory commissions.

Following his retirement, Don was retained by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio as a consultant and expert witness.

Don received his B.S. and MBA degrees from the University of Cincinnati. He also spent two years on Student Council as the Evening College liaison.

Don and his wife Barbara have been married for 48 years and have four children and seven grandchildren. Both are very active in their church.

 
Rick Smith

Rick joined the AurGroup Board in 2011 as an Associated Board Member until he was elected by the membership in 2013. He has completed numerous Ohio Credit Union League training courses and looks forward to continuing his service.

In 2013, Rick left his job in sales and marketing and started his own horse boarding business, Wildflower Ranch. Wildflower Ranch is responsible for the care of 30 + horses of various breeds. It organizes field trips for elementary school kids, so they can come out and see the animals, find out what it takes to care for them and possibly ride a horse.

Rick is a member of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce and the Colerain High School PTA. He is supervisor for the Motorcycle Safety Program for all four locations of Great Oaks Career Campuses. He teaches the basic rider course for Great Oaks and Butler Tech. He also trains new instructors in the motorcycle program throughout the state of Ohio. In his spare time, Rick volunteers with the Colerain Community Association, the Clippard YMCA in Colerain Township and regularly works with Habitat for Humanity in Ohio and New Orleans.
