Christopher Peshek
Christopher Peshek CSE Federal Credit Union member 1 year

I was born in Canton, Ohio and I am a lifelong resident of the Canton area. I am seeking a seat on CSE's Board of Directors because I want to help bring more accessible financial products and education to our community. Further, I believe my professional finance, strategy, and legal experience will help grow and enhance CSE's products, services, and reputation.

I am currently the Strategy & Business Development Senior Specialist for the Industrial Sector at Eaton, evaluating and executing mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures. I also serve as the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees at Canton Montessori School. I graduated from Ohio State University with a Finance degree and my first professional role after college was in investment operations at KeyBank. I then moved into corporate finance and have had progressive levels of responsibility in various finance roles at Diebold Nixdorf, Shearer's Snacks, and now at Eaton Corporation. I received my MBA and law degree from the University of Akron, and I am licensed to practice law in Ohio and Florida.

It is my personal goal to help my community thrive; I believe that serving as one of your board members will allow me to do so.

David Cushing, Incumbent
David Cushing CSE Federal Credit Union member 17 years
CSE Board member 3 years

I have been a part of the CSE Federal Credit Union family for almost 18 years now, being honored to serve on the Board of Directors for the past 3 years. When ING Financial Advisors and JoAnn Brashen were discussing opening a branch office at CSE Federal Credit Union, I was fortunate that Stan Barnes and JoAnn backed me and enabled me to open the branch. Because of this, my wife Leonie and I moved to Canton and life has been exceptional ever since.

I no longer have my office located in the credit union, but CSE and the relationships I made here impact my life positively on a daily basis. This is the reason why I would like to continue to volunteer for the Board of Directors.

I am an Ivy League graduate of Columbia University in New York City and have the CRPC® designation from the College of Financial Planning and the AIF® from F1360.

I have been with Voya Financial Advisors (previously ING Financial Advisors) for 25 years and have my Series 6, 7 and 66 designations, as well as my Ohio Life and Health insurance licenses and my Long Term Care Partnership certification.

After opening the Canton branch for ING Financial Advisors, I started D.P. Cushing & Associates in 2012.

Ariko Jackson, Incumbent
Ariko Jackson CSE Federal Credit Union member 4 years
CSE Board member 3 years, currently serving on the Supervisory Committee

I am seeking a seat on the Board of Directors for CSE Federal Credit Union. I am a native of Canton, Ohio and graduated from Canton McKinley Sr. High School. I have an MBA in Executive Management specializing in Finance from Ashland University and a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration from West Liberty State.

I have over 15 years of retail and supply chain experience managing large-scale operations across the country. I am currently a Regional Director with Fresh Thyme supporting their expansion into northeast Ohio.

My goal in joining the Board of Directors is to obtain a greater insight into the world of financial institutions - especially credit unions - along with adding value from my years of running multi-million-dollar operations. I have worked with the largest retailer in the world making a multi-million-dollar impact along with talent development. I am now making measurable contributions to a regional retailer. As a member of the Board, I will use my strengths of having a strategic mindset and an analytical outlook in order to help support and guide the company's mission for how it conducts business now and in the future.

Howard Taylor, Incumbent
Howard Taylor CSE Federal Credit Union member 25 years
CSE Board member 9 years, currently serving as Chairman of the Board

As the end of my term approaches, it is my desire to be re-elected to the Board of Directors at CSE Federal Credit Union because of my commitment to serve our membership. A credit union member since 1999, I currently serve as the Chair of the Board. Before becoming Chair, I served as Vice Chair and was a member of the Marketing Committee. I was also appointed to the Supervisory Committee.

I have served numerous not-for-profit organizations, as both consultant and staff throughout my career. I remain committed to the not-for-profit community and those it serves. I believe these organizations have a tremendous opportunity to address the needs of the general public, and in the case of CSE, our membership. As a Board Member, I have witnessed how CSE serves our membership and the broader community. I'm impressed with the Senior Management and staff and their commitment to service.

While challenges will emerge with our approach to financial services, CSE is well-positioned to respond positively to those challenges. Should I be re-elected, I will commit to maintaining the excellent quality of services that CSE is known for and will further enhance that service whenever and wherever possible.

Brenda Lyon, Incumbent
Brenda Lyon CSE Federal Credit Union member 53 years
CSE Board member 9 years, currently serving as Vice Chairwoman of the Board

My mother opened a savings account for me when I was young, giving me membership in CSE Federal Credit Union. As a member, I have benefitted from car loans, a home loan, credit card and other services. CSE not only helped me to become financially secure, but has also given me the opportunity to give back to the community and use my experience and knowledge to help others do the same.

In 2015 I was elected to the Board of Directors, and have served on the Nominating and Loan & Data Security Oversight Committees, with two of those years as Vice Chair. Serving as Treasurer for various organizations, leading financial classes at church and owning a real estate title insurance company have given me a unique skill set that I use to help keep CSE Federal Credit Union one of the best financial institutions in the state. Making sure that members have access to affordable loans, assisting in the enhancement of resources and security for members, and assuring that members' funds are used wisely are priorities that I hope to continue for the next 3 years as a member of the Board of Directors.
