Dear Member,

Credit unions are unique among financial providers because every member is a part-owner of the organization. Where else do consumers have a voice in the future of a service they use? Here, you do. As a member of CAP COM, you’re eligible to vote on the proposed merger with SEFCU to form a new credit union. This package details the significant benefits of the proposal and your voting ballot.

If you like the benefits of belonging to CAP COM, you understand why preserving the cooperative principles of credit unions is so important for future generations. Both credit unions are doing extremely well today. By merging – instead of operating in parallel – we would be better able to address your current and future financial needs while addressing the security, technology, and operating requirements of a community-based financial institution. Joining forces would allow us to provide even more value to you, our member-owners, while providing enhanced careers for our employees, and investing in the needs of our communities.

CAP COM's Board of Directors unanimously approved the intent to merge and is recommending that you vote to approve the merger.

Enclosed is a summary of the key advantages of the combined credit union that would have a new name. See the Benefits Sheet and supplemental information outlined in the Notice of Meeting. You can also learn more at www.capcomfcu.org/together.

You’re invited to attend the Special Meeting on Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at 5:00 pm, a virtual event, where the results of the member vote will be announced. To participate in the Special Meeting, RSVP at www.capcomfcu.org/together. Otherwise, look for an email the following day with the results of the vote.

Votes will be collected and tabulated by CU Ballot, an independent company specializing in credit union voting of all kinds. Personal identifying information of members and how they voted will remain confidential. (CU Ballot will not share with any party.) Only the vote totals will be reported.

Thank you for putting your trust in CAP COM for financial solutions that support you throughout your life. I know members value the range of services we offer, personal attention from employees, and competitive rates – because you openly tell us!

You have my word that all of those things will be just as important in a combined organization. Together, we can do even more! Remember your voice matters, so I encourage you to vote to approve the merger.

Sincerely,

Christopher McKenna
