Dear Member,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union, I am pleased to share exciting news. We have received regulatory approval to pursue a merger with Arlington Community Federal Credit Union.

This partnership is built on the idea that we are stronger and better together. By joining forces, our more than 61,000 members will enjoy greater access to products, services, branches, and technology, all while continuing to receive the same trusted local service you’ve always known. This partnership isn’t about changing what you already value. It’s about building on that strong foundation and unlocking even greater benefits for every member.

CommonWealth One’s Board of Directors and leadership team support this merger. However, the final decision is up to you. You are being asked to vote on a proposal for a merger with Arlington Community Federal Credit Union.

Unlike bank mergers that are designed to make money for stockholders, this merger represents a partnership between two local credit unions that are committed to members, employees, and the communities they serve. The combined organization would be better positioned to expand its product, service, branch network, and technology offerings in a financial services sector that is rapidly consolidating and constantly evolving.

Your vote is very important, and a merger between Commonwealth One and Arlington Community Federal Credit Union must have the approval of a majority of members of the credit union voting on the proposal. Should you require additional information, please direct questions to our attention at bettertogether@cofcu.org or by calling 800-424-3334. You can also find more information and FAQs at www.cofcu.org.

We recommend that you vote to “APPROVE” the proposed merger with Arlington Community Federal Credit Union. To be counted, your ballot must reach us by the date and time announced for the meeting and noted on the mailed or emailed ballot sent to members.

We greatly appreciate your membership and thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Rupert J. Jennings, III, Board Chairman
CommonWealth One Federal Credit Union
