Dear Member,

First Entertainment has always evolved alongside the people and industry we serve. Today, entertainment careers and opportunities extend far beyond Los Angeles, and we believe our credit union must be positioned to support our members wherever their work and lives take them.

After careful consideration, our Board of Directors has approved a proposal to convert First Entertainment from a state-chartered to a federally chartered credit union. This proposed change would better position us to grow, expand our reach, and continue serving the evolving needs of the entertainment community.

What won't change?

  • We're still 100% member-owned.
  • Your accounts, online and mobile banking, and deposit insurance remain the same.
  • This is not a sale, merger or acquisition.

As a member-owner, you have a say in whether we make this change. There will be a member vote to decide on the conversion. Voting opens October 19 at 6pm Pacific Time and closes at our Special Meeting on October 29, 2026, at 7 PM Pacific Time. Results will be announced at the meeting. You can vote using the link below or mail in the attached ballot to CUBallot - Election Processing E Space Communications Inc. P.O. Box 3156 Dublin, OH 43016-9842 or deliver the ballot in person at the meeting.

Approval of the conversion requires the affirmative vote of a majority of the votes cast, provided the number of votes cast equals or exceeds the quorum requirement.

Reporting of results: Once tabulation is complete, the results of the vote will be forwarded to the California Secretary of State and the Commissioner of the California Department of Financial Protection and Innovation within ten days of the meeting, in compliance with California Financial Code § 15302.

Our Board of Directors and leadership team feel this conversion is in the best interest of all our members. I encourage you to learn more, cast your vote, and help shape the next chapter of First Entertainment.
