Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union Charter Conversion
Dear Member,
You are receiving this notice because, as a valued member of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union, you have the
right to vote on an important proposal: the conversion of Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union from a
state-chartered credit union to a federally chartered credit union.
Member voting will open on August 3rd, 2026. Members may cast their vote using one of the approved voting
methods described in this notice. Please read this notice carefully to plan how you will cast your vote.
What This Means for You
At this time, no changes are being made to your accounts or services.
What You Are Voting On
Members will vote on the following official resolution:
RESOLVED, that Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union be converted to a federal credit union chartered in
accordance with the Federal Credit Union Act, and that operation under the laws of the State of Connecticut be
discontinued.
RESOLVED FURTHER, that the Board of Directors and officers of this credit union are hereby authorized and
directed to do all things necessary to effect and complete the conversion of this credit union from a state to a
federally chartered credit union.
How to Vote
You will have the opportunity to vote in three ways:
- Online Voting: Vote securely online by clicking on BEGIN VOTING below. Online voting
will be open from August 3rd, 2026, through September 3rd, 2026, and will close at 5:45 PM ET.
- Mail Voting: The ballot mailed to members who did not agree to electronic communication can be used to cast your vote by mail. Return it using the enclosed
pre-addressed return envelope (no stamp needed) so that it is received no later than September 3rd,
2026, at 5:45 PM ET.
- In-Person Voting: Members may vote in person by attending the Special Membership Meeting on
September 3rd, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 5:45 PM ET at Nutmeg State Financial Credit Union Headquarters,
500 Enterprise Drive, Rocky Hill, CT 06067, in the first-floor cafeteria.
The proposal will pass upon an affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of the members who vote on the proposal.
