We are excited to announce the next phase of Vanderbilt Credit Union’s proposed merger with Fortera Credit Union – casting your vote! This is a strong step forward for our Credit Union. Partnering with Fortera will bring meaningful benefits, including an enhanced member experience, new products and tools and more opportunities to grow in the future. Vanderbilt Credit Union will become a division of Fortera, operating under our existing name and brand, while gaining the support and resources of the larger Fortera organization. The unique partnership preserves Vanderbilt Credit Union’s heritage while adding Fortera’s scale and technology to better serve the Vanderbilt University and Vanderbilt Health communities.

Your Action Needed

  1. Please review the merger documents mailed and emailed to Members regarding Vanderbilt Credit Union’s proposed merger with Fortera Credit Union.
  2. Vote on the proposed merger. Please vote on or before September 2, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., through one of the following options:
    1. Mark the mailed ballot and return it in the provided envelope; or
    2. Click the BEGIN VOTING below using your Member Number or Election ID that was emailed or mailed to you; or
    3. Visit either of our branch locations to pick up a mail-in ballot; or
    4. Attend the Special Called Meeting on September 2, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Light Hall room 202 at 2215 Garland Avenue, Nashville, TN 37232.
